The RBS Six Nations is an annual tournament contested between some of the best National Rugby Teams from Europe, namely England, Ireland, Wales, Scotland, France and Italy. One of the oldest tournaments in the world, the 6 Nations was first held in 1883. In those days it was a content between the four teams from the British Isles (Home Nations). France joined the competition in 1910, making it “5-Nations”, and with Italy’s inclusion in 2000 the tournament got its current name and format. Owing to the long-standing rivalry between the teams involved, Six Nations tickets are always in high demand and every game is played out in front of capacity crowds.
A few quick facts about the Six Nations:
- A team is said to have completed a Grand Slam if it wins all its games.
- If any Home Nation team wins its matches against the other three Home Nations, it is said to have won the Triple Crown.
- The dubious Wooden Spoon is given to the team at the bottom of the table.
Tickets for all Six Nations games are available from Viagogo and through this website. Book your tickets now and be there to support your team at their home as well as away games, be it Twickenham, Croke Park, the Millenium Stadium, Murrayfield, the Stade de France or the Stadio Flaminio
